38 weeks pregnant dilated 3 cm.
I'm 38 weeks pregnant 3 cm dilated as of a week ago at my last appointment. About 20 minutes ago constant period like cramps started and have no stopped. It is not like my normal Braxton hicks that come and go. They have been constant and don't seem to go away. Should I go get checked

Been dilated since 37 weeks now: 1cm 70% effaced @37, 2-2.5 cm 70% effaced @ 38, 3-3.5 70% effaced @39….. now trying to keep moving... When i was 36 weeks i had to be induced to preeclampsia and it made me 2cm dilated. for unnessary reasons they sent me home after inducing mw for two days. came back 5 days later to get induced again and was still 2cm. 1 or 2 cm dont really mean anything 4 or 5 does. it just means your bodys preparing for baby! have fun and good luck!I'm only 35 weeks pregnant. May 2015. You could be 3 cm dialated for weeks. It's hard to tell. Hopefully little one sits tight for a bit. I would just do some watchful waiting. I'm also 36 weeks and I am dilated 2-3cm. I'm personally worried but the doctor sent me home because there was no change overnight. Still 2-3cm. I hope I make it to week 38. I'm 3 cm, fully effaced, and LO is -1 to -2 position at 38 1/2 weeks. At 36, I was 1 1/2 cm but a little more dialated than you.
If you are 3 cm dilated at 37 weeks, it is likely that you will give birth within the next few weeks. The further along you are in your pregnancy, the shorter your labor will be. So if you’re 3 cm dilated at 37 weeks, you are going to see the labor will commence very soon. Hopefully, it would be within the next few days or weeks!
