ikelos smg is a random world drop so you can't farm it. Ikelos was part of season of the seraph. Since the seasonal vendor for it is fine it's harder to obtain although I see bungie adding a method for it later. Ikelos is a world drop, so you can't focus farm it right now.

I believe it's a random world drop. Banshee or prime engrams should have it, or random legendary engrams. Perhaps xur as well. I get it now and then. I think you can get it from world drops. So you can focus engrams for world drop weapons. Banshee sells/drops it. I got one from...somewhere. Sorry.
Yup, I got the Ikelos upgrade as soon as possible and am now done with the shotgun and sniper. 4/5 & 3/5 on SMG & HC too. All my umbrals go to random Ikelos weapons and it's been worth it! I got 2 SMG reds tonight back to back (2/3, 3rd was a normal sniper) so there is definitely a chance to get reds this way.It will drop from Dares of Eternity next week, you can try farming it then.
