Unscrew the union that is on the side of the salt cell. Pull the tri-sensor out and use a cloth to clean off the metal sensors on the surface. If you see any rust spots around the metal sensors then you'll need a new tri-sensor. Reinstall the tri-sensor and check the Aqua pure after 5 minutes. Make sure that the filter is clean.
Ruthenium is also conductive and a catalyst. As it wears down from use and the self cleaning process, the cell becomes less effective, and starts the AMPS start to change.
