It was the multiplayer focus that sucked. It replaced the glorious flight system of standard boost, present from the original Armored Core all the way up to ACFA with a much less glamorous system of wall-humping and gliding. That said, 5th gen was still a lot of fun, I just hope they bring back the old boost system.
