If you want to use it, yes. I don't suggest it personally, it's pretty easy to make money in Skyrim. You have a mod that specifically fixes the various chest glitches in the game. So, yes, if you want to use the chest glitches then you need to disable that mod. If you disable the mod now, it could ruin any character that ever existed with that mod.

theres two more chests i know of outside of solitude and markarth. though if you're just tryin to get gems it might be easier to just stick with dawnstar and punch reset the kitty when shes there. Bringing religiosity to the fuzzy-wuzzies.

The unofficial patch pushes the chest further underground so you can't reach it. In the vanilla game, it's where it's always been just underneath the surface near the mine. It's still there in the vanilla game.

The invisible chest in dawnstar is the shop chest for the Khajiit Caravan. You can reset the contents of the chest by waiting for a caravan to come into Dawnstar. If you talk to them and they have a full inventory, you can loot those items from the chest.
