Ford taurus cranks but wont start.

My 2007 Ford Taurus is having a no crank no start condition, only a click from the dash and starter relay. I did do some maintenance by cleaning my MAF sensor and my throttlebody (with the correct CRC cleaners). Truck started and drove fine at 10:30 last night, then at 10:30 this morning refused to start. WTS light comes on.Starts intermittently and when it won't start, only shows the airbag symbol with no power to dash, radio, lights, etc. It was corrosion on the negative cable of the battery. Brushed the cable end bright and shiny and now no problems. Of course, I replace the battery and ignition switch first (it was crunchy).

My 2000 Taurus every once and a while wont start when the weather gets cold. It cranks and there is spark but it doesnt fire. The weird thing is it will fire up fine in the morning at its coldest but after it sits at work for the day it wont start when I go to leave for the day. No indicators on the dash.

There's quite a few things that can get rattled after a fender bender. I don't think there's any fuses that wouldn't hold it out in start, only in run... but check all fuses for the engine anyway. 1365 posts · Joined 2008. #2 · Dec 29, 2010. You can turn the key to "on" and listen for the fuel pump prime, a low humming noise for about 2 seconds. If no noise, either the pump or pump circuitry has failed. The pump can still run and you have a fuel pressure problem though.

Have helper turn key on but dont actually crank. you should hear the fuel pump buzz for approximatey 2 seconds each time you do this. This is the first step in solving this problem. If the fuel pump works, post again. You need to supply more information.

The last 2-3 were attempted after the key was set to the "on" position, (where AC, etc get to work). The outside temperature is just cool. Battery is new and strong.
