It looks to me that the oil change is recommended at 10,000 miles and 15,000 miles. The dealer says to change it every 2500. I was going to change it at 3000 but wasnt sure how I was supposed to do it.

Kinda hard to believe they would design it so 7 oz wouldn't come out. It took just under 3 quarts of Mobil 1 20 50 V Twin syn to fill my engine case and oil tank on my last change. ( Do not fill above 3/4 full cold after start with a full filter. It takes 1 quart in the primary same stuff. One more thing be sure to get the right filter with the bypass for your sportster.

Just thought it might be better than syn in the clutch. Not new to bikes but new to Harley so things are a little different.

When you simply drain the primary without removing the outer cover, 3-4 oz. of oil remains in the primary case. If you remove the outer cover for some reason, you might then use a full quart.
