The next avenue is 5th Ave, and it's pedestrian only. The beach is not the best at the Hilton, but it gets better a bit farther north.This was our second visit to this Playa del Carmen hotel, which was named the Royal last year and was acquired by the Hilton this year (2019). Beach in front of the Hilton is protected somewhat by the huge pier. I will admit the beach in Playacar has held up better since the beach restoration in 2010.
