They are defensive pistols for close in. The 42 is too big for my desire. For many years, my pocket carry was a Beretta .25 950BS. When I came across the LCP, I preferred fewer rounds of a potentially more capable caliber and it already fit the holster I was used to in my pocket. The Hogue grip was a needed add-on.

Both are good. Out of the 2 i carry the 42 the most IWB. Added the +1 grip extension for a little better grip control. Carry the extra mag in my pocket.
