Not many people put forged parts in stock block so its hard to say, swapping everything over to a built block would definitely be easier and safer, but may be more expensive if youre doing the work. The fa20 out of the BRZ can handle around 600whp with forged internals but they have a different compression ratio than the fa20DIT in the wrx.
I just want to say something about drivetrain loss. A stock auto is 250 at the flywheel, they usually dyno 210-215, so lets say you lose 40hp through the drivetrain, that's 40/250 = 16% of what you started with. If that holds true in higher hp engines, a 350hp flywheel engine would put about 294 hp to the ground.
