The cap was a response to dinos on the centre hatching wild then being knocked out to get tamed again reaching crazy levels which is why ALL dinos over lvl 450 were wiped. The point of the original post was to discuss removing the cap as it serves no purpose now other than limiting how far a dino can be bred.

I have an Xbox and my creatures are 500-800, you have to type in a command, which is, “SetDifficultyValue 15” that last number means how difficult so I usually do 15-18. I think 150 is the highest on console and i dont think you can even reach that high on pc without mods. Can’t on single player.

I had the same issue and came to the conclusion there isn't one for private servers. I couldn't find it. I have Dino's in the 600 level range and they survive server restarts. i manage my private server and unless the server owner made a dino level cap there wouldnt be one, unless its an xbox/ windows 10 server. They are hard coded at 1500.

So yeah, if you hatched a lvl 449 baby, it can only be leveled once. So the goal is at max to hatch babies at level 379. Realistically, it would take a VERY long time to hatch a dino at level 449 though, at least on officials. I don't know if this level cap pertains to unofficial servers since those can have some crazy Difficulty settings.

Hello there, so I have started a new singleplayer survivor on the island some time ago and I set the difficulty to 1, which forces the max dino level on the Island to be 120 to the best of my knowledge. After some research I realized that you can force the max dino level on the island to be 150 if you activate the max difficulty setting.
