For the time it takes to complete one when compared to Legend Lost Sectors, the drop rate increase isn't noticeable enough. You are always better off going for Legend clears, as they are significantly faster to complete, whilst having a similar enough drop rate (IIRC Legend has a 20% or 25% drop rate, where as Master has a 30% or 35% rate).

Some people have started keeping track of large amounts of platinums. They’re getting well over 30% for legendary.

I have an awful habit of deleting exotic drops and I was in need of a pair of Athrys' Embrace, Oathkeepers and Shards of Galanor. With it being a simple lost sector to farm, I decided to farm it and record the results, to see what the drop rate is for Legend Lost Sectors, given that Bungie recently buffed the drop rate. On the right days (IE, non moon lost sectors) I can run certain Legend lost sectors in 3-4 minutes and certain Master lost sectors in 4-5 minutes. Drop rates being around 25% for Legend and around 33% for Master means I have a decent chance of getting the new exotic in 15 minutes or so, even with terrible luck it takes an hour or so tops.

I've done most of them on Legend but I did do several hours of Master for a few of them and I'd say my rate feels like 33-40% overall. Legend Lost Sector rewards are heavily weighted towards an Exotic you don't own. If you ignored Ikora's reward, then the next time an Exotic drop (25-30% rate) from Helmet Day LLS it will (most likely) be Loreley.
