I used grommets every foot to make a hem on a ground tarp from a polyethylene tarp. It worked, but the iron method would be better if it would get hot enough. The thing with the wise owl hammock is that it is a bit lighter material however, I seem to be pretty hard on my gear and it is handling my stupidity very well.
