Honestly, compared to Dark Souls 1 and Dark Souls 2 (the Dragon rings were basically the FAP ring), it's not that big of a deal, I've done builds without it, whereas in DS1 the FAP ring was basically an auto-include, the only reason people might not use it is the fact that it broke irreparably on removal and you only had 2 ring slots.
