I like the round butt on the Camp Guard but the Raptor is a classic in the Kimber lineup. stockmaker, Rustyaa55, Oklahomabound and 2 others.The only thing missing for me was a rail, and the TLE/RL II has taken care of that. This RL II starts with a steel frame with a high cut front strap and 30-lpi checkering. The trigger is an aluminum, match-grade, standard-length trigger set to 4.5 pounds. In the short term I bought a bunch of 180 grain CCI Blaze fmj. From what I can tell it’s about middle of the road for 10mm ammo.

Finally got to the range for an hour, yesterday, with my new Kimber Custom II 10mm GFO. The results were something of a mixed bag. The good news is the gun will put bullets where I want if I do my job. (See targets, below.) Recoil was mild with the Armscor 180 gr. FMJ, a mild 10mm load (muzzle velocity ±1100 FPS), I was shooting.To test it, I swapped barrels with my 10mm Stainless II and the result was the same with the Stainless II barrel in the Raptor slide.
