The light have been flashing for a month but it would go into 4 Wheel drive but now it won't. Repair shop is having difficulty figuring it out. All that happens when I push the button is the 4 wheel drive light just blinks and it does not go into 4 wheel drive. I have tried stopping completely, putting in park, turning truck on and off.

Jun 9, 2002 · A quick reminder; Tundras have FULL TIME HUBS. this means that you must drive a few feet in either direction to FULLY engage them. Simply pushing the button doesnt engage the syetem completely. The transfer case may be in 4WD, but the hubs are not. Thats why the indicator flashes at you.
