1645 posts · Joined 2015. #2 · Dec 16, 2021 (Edited) There is no replacement wad. The Remington SP20 was the last 1 ounce wad for 20 gauge tapered hulls, and they are scarce also. There's a single 1 ounce load in Remington hulls using AA20 wad and HS-6 in Lyman 5th Edition Handbook.

Its main purpose is to ease feeding of the wad on some reloading machines. For reload recipe purposes, it is the same wad.
