Just had a friend be 50% effaced on friday, come monday she was 100%! i am 35 weeks, i am 3cm 40% effaced. and have been for a little while now. With my last pregnancy at 24 weeks I was 1 cm and ...I do remember though that one of my aunts was due on 7/25 with her first baby (18 years ago), was 1 cm dilated at the end of June that year, and delivered on 7/31. So I'm not holding my breath too much. ;) 37 weeks as of this last Sunday, set to be induced May 16th (due May 15th) I'm 2cm dilated and 90% effaced.another 7cm and 50% more effacement. This. This happened to me with my first. My water broke on a Friday night around 9pm and 1cm. so they gave me a Ambien to rest because nothing was going to happen that night . The next day mild contractions so they decided to induce and asked me to take the contractions until I'm at least 4cm before getting the epidural.My contractions start at 29 weeks, like clockwork, I'm on pregnancy #5, I'm only 25 weeks right now, but it's coming. I stay at a 1.5-2 cm for weeks, my earliest baby was born at 33 weeks, she was 4lbs 11 oz, my longest pregnancy was 37 weeks, none of my kid's made it to 6 lbs at birth.Wow. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks because I was 5cm at 34 weeks, and the nurses acted like the baby would just fall out every time I went to the toilet. I think being as dilated as I was, as long as I was, was pretty much unheard of. (Made it to 37+4 before I delivered.)
