I recently started trading futures options instead of options to circumvent that annoying PDT rule, but still, having multiple margin accounts was comfortable for me as I was able to spread my non-futures options over different accounts and that was making it easier to not get flagged as a pdt. Apparently though, that will not be possible anymore.
