A little on the cheap side - I just grabbed an amazon basics "cooling" memory foam (hah- it's so hard to make those actually cooling) 2 inch topper. Made all the difference for me. I stopped having awful hip & knee pain and I now get that "sinking" feeling I wanted, though certainly not quite the same as what I thought the Purple might do.
Regular sheets are a no-go with the gel material. They won't stretch enough and will ruin the feel of the mattress for sure, causes back pain and pressure points to stab into the sheet.
