836. Posted September 11, 2015. Prisma Gorgon is definitely the better one. It's accuracy is far more acceptable, less spool time, bigger mag and better crit though I didn't build it for crit. But I personally use the Wraith, for swag factor. Don't like the prisma sound and prefer the look of the Wraith.

Posted May 8, 2013. I've tried both, the gorgon is a much better boss/heavy killer imo, but is really bad at long range, and only ok at mid range. Braton is "better" at long and mid range because of the lesser recoil, but is worse as a boss/heavy killer. Gorgon is a niche weapon, excelling against shielded enemies, if you can actually hit them. It has a wide spread and a spin-up time, which made me sell it after getting it to 30. Evolutions +5 damage plus +8 damage on shield break (not many channeled abilities are available for every build) +50% reload speed (literally 1 second reload cut off, the only problem that the gorgon had) +12 status chance (more statuses mean more viral procs for galv gun-overload and helping it's early stage of damage)

Heavy Gunners are elite units, which spawn in higher numbers at higher levels or later in endless missions. If you want a Gorgon blueprint, your best bet is probably to go for as long as possible in a Grineer Survival, Excavation or Interception as you can. Alternatively, just play the game and you'll end up with one eventually.
